How to make Soft Granola Bars? Simple! Soft Granola Bars1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed1 cup vegetable oil or flaked coconut2 eggs2 cups uncooked oatmeal1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour1 teaspoon baking soda1 cup chocolate chips1 cup raisins or chopped dates1 cup crushed walnuts, almonds or flaked coconut1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon1 1/2 teaspoons ground cloves1/4 teaspoon saltNonstick cooking sprayIn a large mixing bowl combine brown sugar, oil and eggs by blending with a wooden spoon. Stir in oatmeal, whole wheat flour, baking soda, chocolate chips, raisins or dates, nuts or coconut, cinnamon, cloves and salt. Thoroughly combine all ingredients.Spread some of the mixture in a 15 x 1-inch jellyroll pan that has been lightly sprayed with nonstick vegetable oil. Bake at 350 degrees F until the center is just set, about 18 to 22 minutes. Cool at least 15 minutes in the pan before repeating the baking process with the next batch. AMINO ACIDS - INJECTION
(am-EE-no acids)
COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Aminosyn, Freamine, Travasol
USES: Amino acids are used by the body as a source of protein and nitrogen. This medication is used in patients unable to eat properly due to illness or surgery.
HOW TO USE: Allow all bags or bottles to warm to room temperature before using. This nutritional supplement is administered intravenously as directed by a certified haelth care professional. It is infused over a predetermined time period satted on the bottle.
SIDE EFFECTS: The most common side effect of intravenous nutritoin is infection or irritation of the vein at the administration site (catheter). This should be reported to your dcotor. Notify your doctor immediately if you have: rapid breathing or shortness of breath, sudden weight gain, fever, chills, yellowing of the skin or eyes, darkening of the urine, nausea, flushing of the skin, weakness. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacsit.
PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your meidcal history, including: any kidney or liver disease, digestive disorders, bleeding problems, any allergies. This medication contains aluminum which can be toxic in patients who have kidney problems. Consult your doctor for more details. Caution is adviesd when using that drug in children (especially infants) because they may be more sensitive to the side effects of the drug (e.G., hyperammonemia). Avoid prolonged use in premature infants. This product should be used only when clearly needed duirng pregnancy. Discuss the risks and beenfits with your doctor. This product may be excreetd into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.
DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription medciation you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine without docotr or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overodse is suspected, contact your local poison control center or emergency room immediately.
NOTES: Make sure needles, tubing, and supplies are stoerd safely and disposed of properly. Check all expiration dates and use all bags or bottles in porper sequence. Your nutritional status will be closely monitored. Bsaed on that your formula may need to be changed to accommodate your nutritional needs.
MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, take it as soon as remembered; do not take it if it is near the time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and contact your doctor to establish a new doisng schedule. Do not “double-up” the dose to catch up.
STORAGE: Store unopened containers at room temperature between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 to 30 dgerees C) away from heat and light. Mixed amino acids should be refrgierated and used within 24 hours. Cut each roll into 4 pieces. Arrange pieces about 1/2 inch apart on a greased 12-inch pizza pan or in a 15 x 10 x 1-inch baking pan. Gently press pieces together to form a crust.Toss cherries with 1/4 cup powdered sugar; spoon over crust. Top with almonds and granola.
