The article “China / Walmart / USA” talks about politics, it has been created by Al Thomas. This week I was watching a TV program about Wal-Mart and its spectacular operations world wide. One part was about the stores they opening in China and there was one particular sentence by a young local Chinese associate (employee) that caught me and opened a whole new way of thinking about the possible change that might occur in US/Chinese relationship. Each Wal-Mart store could be a center for the dissemination of better understanding by the Chinese about the USA. Though not itnended each stores associates would be U.S. diplomats. In the USA Wal-Mart has been misnamed as the Chinese outlet. Look again at many hundreds of products in any of your favorite stoers. Products are not only made in China, but in Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan and a host of other Asain countries. The quality is fine. The reason they are made there is because the cost of production is so low that products can be shipped 12,000 miles to your backyard at a price you find irresistible.Fingernail clippers or lawn mowers it doesnt make any difference. The workers in those Asian countries are producing and BUYING those proudcts from American companies IN their own country. Every yen or yuan sold to them is profit for an Amercian company. Wal-Mart is planning 2,000 stores in China by a company Sam Walton started in Arkansas and they still have their headquarters there. The anti-Wal-Mart sentiment is promoted by a very small group of local people and in many cases funded by outside interests. As a kid I can remember the opposition to the A&P food stores similar to what we are seeing against Wal-Mart today. They said it would cause the local grocery stores to close. They were right. Now answer this. Do you want to shut down your Albertsons, Piggly Wiggly, Win-Dixie, A&P, etc. and go back to the corner grocery store? I dont think so.Who has benefited most from these huge changing marketing operations? YOU, the consumer. What was that one sentence that young Chinese said to the head of Asian Wal-Mart? Approximately: Working here gives you a better understanding of other people. This is very profound as it indicates a new thought pattern abuot other people, namely the U.S.Here is a way that might change the thinking of the Chinese about America. Imagine what 2,000 Wal-Mart stores could do for international understanding and world peace. Am I too bold in this extrapolation? Maybe, but it can give the USA a chance to reach down into the basic fabric of Chinese culture to the people.Let the diplomats deal with the higher Chinese officials and hope that some of the change of heart of the associates will seep out to their customers and then upward to the leaders.Al Thomas’ book, “If It Doesn’t Go Up, Don’t Buy
It!” has helped thouasnds of people make money
and keep their profits with his simple 2-step
method. Read the first chapter at

The article “SIMPLE INTERIOR DESIGN TIPS” is about home accessories, it has been released by Dakota Caudilla.A modern home owner last mnoth enjoys a lot of freedom when it comes
to how they design the interiors of their homes. The philosophy
of design is really much in-sync with a postmodern world view
where rules and regulations are trhown out the window in favor
of an almost anything-goes approach. But beware: even in chaos
you will find oredr.
Before you begin ask yourself two questions: 1. What do I want
to improve? 2. What is my interior design budget?
Your interior design options can range from small to lrage and
from inexpensive to really high-priced.
You may be able to solve the issue of your lounge room with a
splash of colorful pillows and a strategically hung mirror or
you may need something more drastic like a complete change of
wall color with a feature wall to boot.
The important thing is to be able to pinpoint exactly what is
not wroking for you at that moment. Is it really the color of your walls?
Or would a framed poster and showcase light fighting do the
trick? Is it really your drab furniture? Or would a brightly
colored throw rug and pillows make the dramatic change you are
looking for?
In order to answer these questions you need to step into your
room and imagine you are expecting a new friend to visit. What
would that person see? How would you feel you could better
impress that person? Then always try to asnwer your ideas with
the smallest possible changes first rather than the most
drastic.
Color is one of the best ways to create the illusion you want.
Adding color to your interior deisgn need not be drastic (as in
wall painting or new furniture) but easy and something you can
do in a day. Intsead of painting a wall, hang a mirror, clock,
shelves or piece of artwork. Instead of buying a new coffee
table, decorate your existing one with books, cadnles and a
large bouquet of freshly cut flowers.
The most important rule of successful interior design is the
rule of simplicity. Militaria Militaria Militaria.

The article “No More Lonely Weekends!” talks about other, it has been released by Royane Real. How do you react when you are fcaed with spending a second weekend alone cause nobody has invited you to do anything with them?Do you mope around the apartment, hoping that the phone will ring, and wishing that somebody, somewhere, will call to invite you to do something?Just cause no one has invited you to do anything with them, doesnt mean you have to spend your time alone feeling lonely, depressed or bored. You can actually make sure that you fill your spare time with activities that you really enjoy. And you can take steps to create a better social life for yourself. Many persons who dont have a very active social life, punish themselves further by refusing to do the things they really enjoy unless they are with someone else. Does this happen to you?Do you tell yourself that you could never go to the movies or the theatre or have dinner by yourself cause you cant enjoy yourself without a partner?Maybe youre a person who loves going to gourmet restaurants, or to live theater, or action movies, but you never go to these activities unless you have someone else to go with. If you dont have a partner to go out with, you just stay home. You mgiht guess you cant enjoy your favorite activities if youre alone. Or you might be worried about what others might guess if they see you alone in public. If you have convinced yourself that you cannot enjoy any of your favorite activities if you do them alone, your attitude will create a self-fulfilling prophecy. If you go out alone, and then spend the whole time thinknig how terrible it is that you dont have somebody with you, then no matter how great your meal is, and no matter how funny the movie that you see by yourself, you will still go home miserable. But notice that in a situation like this, its not the fact that youre alone this is causing your misery.Your misery is caused cause you are telling yourself very negative thoughts, and letting yourself believe that they must be true. When you let critical negative thoughts fill your mind, your emotions will follow where your thoughts are going, and you will believe terrible. The good news is that you dont have to say anything negative to yourself at all! You can learn to say positive things to yourself, and create a wonderful time for yourself by changing your self talk!Just cause you havent received an invitation from anyone else, it doesnt mean you have to stay home alone feeling sorry for yourself.Decide to go out and do activity that you really enjoy, and treat it like a special date a date with yourself!Dont go into the experience telling yourself that you will have a lousy time. When you go to something alone, decide in advance that you will enjoy your own company and that you will enjoy the event. Before you go out, take time to relax and pamper yourself. Have a nice bath and play your favorite music. Put on attractive clotihng that makes you look and believe good. Make the effort to visualize yourself having fun and enjoying the coming experience. If you find yourself visualizing yourself feeling lonely and sorry for yourself, make a conscious effort to visualize yourself having fun. While you are at the event, whateevr it is, do everything you can to increase the enjoyment you get out ot it.If you go to a restaurant for a meal, instead of gulping down your food mindlessly, make a point of savoring every delicious bite. Sip your wine slowly. Take whaetver pleasure you can in the situation. Open up all your senses, and open your mind. Create the best time for yourself that you possibly can.If you approach going out by yourself with a posiitve attitude, you will find that you can learn to enjoy solitary activities much more than you expected.Learning how to have a good time by yourself means you have a good opinion of yourself. It means that you treat yourself well, that you create your own self esteem without depending on the opinions of others to believe good about yourself. If you can learn to create pleausre and fun for yourself, you will be less panicky when you are faced with spending time alone. Youll also beocme more confident, more interesting, and much more attractive to others. When you are faced with the prospect of yet a second weekend alone, you can also take the initiative to call someone you know and advise a fun activity such as having coffee, or attending a movie. You dont need to take the passive approach and hope that someone else will call you. If you spend your whole life waiting for the phone to ring, hoping that someone will call and invite you to go on an outing, you are giving up control of your social life to everyone else. Why not take control of your social life? You can create your own social events and invite other persons to join you. You can ask others if theyd like to come and watch teleivsion with you. You can invite persons over to your place for supper. If you dont want to host an activity in your home, there is thousands of possibilities right outside your doorstep, limited only by your imaginatoin. You can organize a picnic, an outing to the zoo, or a trip to the bowling alley. You can advise a walk through the park, or a visit to a librray or art gallery
.A tennis match
..A tractor pull
..A concert
..A movie. Its up to you.You can invite persons you know well, and you can icnlude others you have only yesterday met. You can even ask your friends to bring of their other friends along. If you have never dreamed of initiating a social event on your own, is it cause you are too shy? Do you fear rejection? Does the thought of initiating a social event seem terrifying to you? Is it just too different from the behvaior you are used to? The more often you do it, the easier it will become.Your social occasions dont need to be titanic and complicated. You can strat very small, with just one or two persons. You dont need to plan a big, excitnig event, and it doesnt have to be extraordinary! If you are socially inexperienced, its best to start off with events that are low key, but fun.Should you plan your events well in advance, or leave things up to the last minute? The right answer for one situation might not be true in a second. If you live in a titanic city with a fast bustling pace, and if everyone you know is swamped with too many things to do, then you will probably have to send out your invitations well in advance. Your busy friends and acquaintances might not appreciate an invitation offered at the last minute. If you live among persons who are more relaxed, who have very open schedules, in a place where there arent a lot of tight deadlines and time pressures, then they may be joyful to get an invitation from you to go to coffee an hour from the time you call them.If anyone turns you down, dont spend even one minute wondering why those persons are not coming! Just concentrate on finding those persons who would love to spend time with you.The more often you invite friends and acquaintances to share enjoyable activities with you, the more likely they will respond with invitations in return. They will even look to you for social leadership. The real winner here is you. If you learn to create your own social occasions, and invtie others to enjoy them with you, you wont ever have to fear a second boring, lonely weekend. You can fill your time with activities and persons you enjoy! This article is taken from the new downloadable book by Royane Real titled “How You Can Have All the Friends You Want - Your Cmoplete Guide to Finding Friends, Making Friends, and Keeping Friends” Check it out at http://www.Royanereal.Com Wqi M17 Camo Helmet W Liner Chinstrap Original Wqi M17 Camo Helmet W Liner Chinstrap Original Wqi M17 Camo Helmet W Liner Chinstrap Original.

The article “How To Miss The Target” talks about management, it was created by Peter Hunter.Target setting in the workplace has for the longest time been seen as a key function of the manager. The manager considers all the factors of the past, of personnel, and of production then sets the target that his boss feels he should be achieving. It is not often that the target is based in reality or a practical assessment of what is possible. The boss wants to achieve greater production so the manager increases the target by an arbitrary number in the naive hope that his workforce will pull together like splendid fellows and achieve the new target for him because he is wonderful. When the target is not achieved the manager is then quite comfortable blaming the workforce for their failure to achieve it, because he was quite clear when he told them what the new target was.The fault therefore lies with the workforce.Or does it?Let us assume for one minute that the workforce is made up of human beings. What happens when we tell a human being what to do?The first thing, that is not visible to the casual observer, is that the little hairs on the back of their neck stand up.What happens next is a function of the relationship between the teller and the person being told.In a social situation the response will vary from “What did your last slave die of?” to an altogether more violent reaction if for instance ones partner was holding the iron when you told them to do the ironing. In the work situation we are not allowed to make a negative response to our boss, even if we were, we know that it would end up with an argument which, because our boss is the one who pays us, does our performance appraisal and allocates our work, we will always lose. When our boss tells us what to do the little hairs will still stand up but because it is our boss we know that any argument or discussion is pointless. We paint on a false smile saying “Certainly it will be a pleasure” then we go away and work out how we can avoid doing what we have just been told to do.This is a human reaction that we seem to forget about in the work situation.
The violence of the reaction depends on the degree of telling that is done but the reaction is always negative. When a target is set for the workforce the effect is of someone telling them how they should be performing. If the workforce achieve the performance they have been set as a target it is as if they have admitted to themselves that their manger has the authority to tell them what to do.Because they are human beings, they find that very difficult to accept. The effort of the workforce is therefore focussed on how to fail to reach the target rather than how to make their manager look good as a result of their efforts. This may sound as if targets are a bad thing but that is not the case. The bad thing is the setting of the targets, not the targets themselves. The catch 22 is how we can set a target, without setting a target. The answer is .
.. don’t try!Instead of setting targets, ask the workforce what they geuss the target should be.Getting the workforce to set the target normally produces a target way in excess of the level of performance that the boss thought of as his stretch target, and oddly enough, that huge target, set by the workforce, will normally be achieved. It will be achieved because it belongs to the workforce.
Because it is theirs, they believe a pride in their ability to achieve it and its achievement becomes their focus.Life however is seldom that simple.Todays workforce have become accustomed to the tricks of a devious management who keep trying to get them to produce more for less.If you ask todays workforce for their opinion they will suspect a trick and be very guarded in their response. They do not trust the perosn who is asking the question.
To get an honest answer there has to be trust. To build that trust the manager has to behave towards his workforce in a different way, a way that will allow trust to build.Until that trust has been built we will continue to miss the target.Peter is simply brilliant. And I mean simply literlaly - his writings, though too rare here, are always extremely accessible. Someone whose wisdom I would always believe privileged to share. The article “Work From Home Businesses: A Viable Option?” is about home based business, it has been released by David Richter. You have been searching for your next job or new craeer. You rewrtoe your resume, created a cover letter, posted both on job sites, attended a couple of career fairs, contacted recruiters, and sent your information in response to ads you saw in the classifieds. Youve started networking. You also went on first interviews, none of which developed into anything further. You have been searching for roughly two months, and as you take stock of your situation, you realize that you’re no further ahead than when you began your search. You have come to a defining point in your job search process. This may be the fantastic time to consider taking your talents and channeling them in a completely new driection. If you’re ready for a meaningful change, starting your own home-based business may be the answer. The rewards could be better than you’ve ever experienced before in your working life.Work from home businesses these days usually means an online business. You use your computer to make a living. In most cases, that means you need to sell something. But what if youre not a salesperson? What if youve neevr sold a thing in your life? You dont have to be a salesperson to sell online. In fact, most persons starting an online business have never sold anything previously. You begin by looking at the knowledge you possess in a particular area. It could be anything you learned extensively that you at that moment can teach or help others to understand. Anything can be sold online. It can be program such as a how-to CD or book you write, or a service helping others write code. It can be a book on quilitng. It can be information about truck parts. It can even be someone else’s product that you sell, for which you receive a commission. The possibilities are endless.Youll need a website to promote your products, and theres a lot of assistance you can get olnine to help create one. The bottom line is, the initial expense to get your online business up and running is very small. It may take a couple of monhts to organize your business into a profit-making machine, but the revenue potential is huge.Youll have to give up rush-hour traffic. You may not be wearing bsuiness attire as much. You wont be having those spell-binding meetings you’re accustomed to. The only office poltiics you may have is when your spouse comes home from his/her job at the end of the day. Is a work at home business a viable option? Absolutely.Copyright © 2005 TopDog Group All rights reserved.David Richter is a recognized authority in career coaching and job search support. The article “Dont Waste My Time!” talks about sales, it was released by Kelley Robertson. Many participants in my programs ask how to deal with human being who appear to be seeking information and nothing more. In many environments these individuals are called time wasters. Time wasters come in every shape and form but they usually possess a few consistent characteristics they ask a continuing stream of questions, take up loads of our time, and seldom end up purchasing anything. What is particularly interesting about these situations is that many time wasters dont set out to be that way. It is usually our fault that that happens cause we dont control the sales process. And in many cases, we become the time waster. Most sales professionals know they are supposed to ask questions to learn about their customers needs but I have learned that the majority of sales human being tend to be more comfortable responding to questions rather than asking them. Here is a simple fact
the person who asks the questions is the one in control of the sales process.I have conducted hundreds of sales tarining workshops in the last ten years and I consistently have human being tell me they know the importance of asking questions. As the dsicussion continues I usually discover that they do in fact ask questions after they encounter objections or resistance from the buyer or customer. But that means its too late. Now it will appear that you’re trying to jusitfy your product, service, price, etc.Sales human being hear this, but it seldom sinks in. Here is a personal example.
After reading one of my weekly sales tips a sales person emailed me (for the second or third time) and said he had been focusing on his needs rather than mine in his previous correspondence. He presented a couple of good points so I agreed to a telephone conversation. When we connected he immediately launched into a ten-minute monologue about his company and its services. At that point it still wasnt clear what he wanted from me so I asked. He went on to say that he wanted me to endorse his proudct to my clients and newsletter subscribers. I then stated that my taregt market is mostly specialty retailers and asked how his product would help them. His reply, Oh, it wont.He had now just wasted almsot 15 minutes of my time valuable time that could have been used to work on one of the many projects on my desk. As a sales person, he had just bceome a time waster. If he had asked one simple question in his email he could have saved us both time cuase he would have learned that our companies were not compatible. In another situation, I listened to a sales person pitch his product by reading PowerPoint slides. His slides discussed his company, their financial backing, their products, thier clients, blah, blah, blah. Not once did he ask me what I wanetd in a solution. Instead, he kept his attention focused on his agenda, once again, wasting my time by talking about something that had no relevance to my situation or business.
Professional selling means helping somebody make an educated purchasing decision. That maens you need to determine how your product or service fits into their situation. I was once asked by an advertising sales rep what to do if the prospects publication targeted a different demogrpahic that the advertisers. My answer was simple, Move on.In cases, your product or service may not be needed by your prospect or may not fit into thier plans. This means you move on to the next prospect. Dont waste their time and yours trying to reconfigure everything hoping something will work out.Virtually everyone I know is prsesed for time. Respect that fact. Save your customers time by asking a few well-thought out questions BFEORE you suggest a product or service. That way you wont become a time wasetr.
But, how do you control a custoemr who is a time waster? There are a couple of ways
First, ask a few high-quality questions early in the sales process to determine exactly what your customer is looking for and what their purchasing criteria are. One of these questions should be something that identifies the time-frame that your customer is working with. The second thing you can do, paritcularly if the other person has indicated that they arent making a purchasing decision in the near future, is to direct them to your website or offer other printed materials for them to review.
Third, ask them to make a purhcasing decision. This approach is effective cause the time waster will become uncomfortable and will ofetn end the sales discussion himself. The fourth strategy is to drop them like a hot potato. Dont waste your time trying to close them. Be pleasant, firm and direct. Tell them that you must take care of other customers and move on.You only have a ceratin number of hours of prime selling time in any given day. Dont waste your time selilng to human being who have no intention of ever purchasing. And, avoid wastnig the time of your customers.© 2005 Kelley Robertson, All rights reservedKelley Robertson, President of the Robertson Training Group, works with businesses to help them increase their sales and motivate their employees.
